Advertising and commercial disclosuresEvery commercial relationship this site has, and how it is marked.
This page describes what the site actually does. Any term that has not yet been approved appears here as an open constraint rather than as a policy in force.
The one relationship this site holds
OudGuide is related to Al Mutalib Perfumes of Dubai, which is the one published record in the directory. The relationship is stated on the ownership page as well as here. A reader can therefore tell, before clicking anything, that the site and one of the businesses it lists are not independent of each other.
How a commercial link is marked
A referral to a partner’s retail site is labelled as a commercial referral wherever it appears, it opens in one clearly marked place rather than being scattered through the prose, and it is never used in the wholesale intake path. A link to a supplier’s own website on its profile is an ordinary link and is labelled as that supplier’s website.
Nothing on this site is an advertorial. The encyclopedia does not accept placement in exchange for a mention, and no supplier pays for a passage in a guide or for a place in the directory.
What the site does not sell
It does not sell a place in the results, a verified badge, access to buyer contacts, or a supplier list. The annual membership is the only priced product, it is priced at one thousand two hundred dirhams a year before tax, and it grants exactly one thing: publication of the supplier’s own contact fields on its own profile.
The commercial terms for a supplier introduction — including its price, its exclusivity and its refund terms — have not been approved, and are recorded as an open decision rather than published as a policy.
The rules for external links, the recorded decisions on pricing and introductions, and the business register.
